Busy time for active kids in Drongan youth week

Youngsters in Drongan had a busy – but fun – time recently, as East Ayrshire Council’s Community Learning and Development (CLD) youth projects team put on lots of activities for National Youth Work Week.

The week was a big hit, with parties for children and parents in Drongan. Everyone was dressed for the occasion and joined in the fun and party games. 

East Ayrshire youth committee Inspired Youths led a fun teambuilding night  - and are now planning a music festival for East Ayrshire.

The theme of ‘bringing the community together’ provided the perfect opportunity to illustrate the positive difference young people can make to their communities.

Councillor Jim Roberts, Spokesperson for Lifelong Learning, said: “The CLD team always works hard to inspire everyone in the community to join in activities and to take up learning tailored to suit their individual circumstances and requirements

“I’m delighted at the turnout for these recent events and I look forward to seeing more in the future”.
