i just want to say that i think it is terrible the council wont deal with the problem that we   have with moles destroying our back gardens at the houses on coronation road across from the school , they are absalutly massive and our gardens are going to cave in , i myself have tried mole traps , pouring diesel into the holes which has killed the grass, when i phoned the council i was told we dont deal with moles you will have to get a private company in "excuse me where have we to get the money for that  ?" its not that when we dont keep our gardens tidy we get told tidy your garden from them , i think this is really terrible that they wont do anything about this problem , isabel kelly

No need for Isabel to pull her hair out over the Mole problem.

This works.

To get rid of Moles merely requires Isabel on her next trip to the haidresser to ask for her hair clippings (or floor sweepings) to be placed in a bag. Take them home cut the foot off one of her old tights stuff the clippings in it and tie a knot. Then stuff the sock down into the mole hill. We don't like the moles .....the moles  don't like us, the scent from human hair is strong and chases them away.

I got this tip from a game keeper in Cananda he uses the same method to keep Elk and Deer out of the orchards by hanging the filled socks around perimeter fences.
