Drongan kids on the up with climbing event

Drongan youngsters took a step up when the Walk Rock team brought their mobile climbing wall to town and offered a free activity session to young people.

Local Community Activist Rosalie McCluskey once again ensured that the word was spread around in plenty of time for young people to get the necessary permissions to try out the climb.

The Walk Rock team offered to do the session after advice from local MSP Cathy Jamieson and assistance from East Ayrshire Council, when they were starting up.

Local Councillor Elaine Dinwoodie also came along, and the event certainly caught the attention of passersby, who gathered to watch the young people climb the wall.
