Drongan senior runner tackles mountain marathon
2 JulyDrongan runner Nick Martin is tackling one of the world's toughest marathons - a testing run 6350 feet on one of the most demanding mountain courses in Europe.
Nick Martin, 67, will run the Zermatt Marathon in Switzerland alongside his son and daughter Philip and Ruth.
They will tackle the heights of the country's deepest mountain valley - one and a half times the height of Ben Nevis - to raise funds for LEPRA.
The former Auchincruive and Ayr College lecturer will be one of fewer than 30 out of a field of almost 900 over the age of 65.
