- I have great memories of drongan at christmas and new year, although i left drongan in the late 60"s the memories are still clear my father Andy rankin was a miner at little mill and in those days times were quite hard but we always managed to have a great time at christmas and the community spirit in the village was second to none something i miss now living in the big city of oxford where i will spend xmas but my heart will be in drongan/ I would just like to wish the pepole of drongan a very merry christmas and a happy new year William rankin (oxford)

I remember very vividly the party feeling we had in our wee village on the run up to Christmas and new year.
I was born in 68 and my fondest memories are of the neighbours all going in and out of each other's houses sorting out parties and who would make what.
More often than not we would be "thro the wa" in next doors "hoose" or they would be in ours. I have been lucky enough to spend my life here, some may say that's a bad thing, but l love our village and l love the closeness that it brings especially at this time of year.
Heres tae us, whas like us......
Happy Christmas nieb'ers and a guid new year tae ye :)
- Well done to the T.A.R.A for making xmas in Drongan brighter again this year with the xmas lights, and well done too for keeping us in full bloom in the summer, this wee group very seldom gets a mention never mind a pat on the back so l hope everyone takes note of who is behind the lights and the flowers. keep up the good work :)
